“Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do.”
Great advice from pediatrician Benjamin Spock.  We often get stuck, feeling as if we don’t know what to do or which way to turn in order to move forward.  The next time you have that feeling, ask yourself:
“If I did know what to do, what would I do?”  or
“If I didn’t have to be right, what might I do?”  or
“Who might be able to help me figure out what to do?”
The least effective action is to surrender to your sense that you don’t know.   Trust yourself.  It doesn’t have to be perfect.  Few actions you take are life threatening so keep moving…do something!

Sometimes, we get caught in an endless loop.  Stuck, unable to see our role in our circumstances, frustrated, continuing to make the same mistakes over and over.  And then,  we open our eyes and our hearts, increase our awareness and get back on our path.

Portia Nelson put it this way:

AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN 5 SHORT CHAPTERS

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I fall in.
I am lost … I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes me forever to find a way out.

II

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in the same place
but, it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

III

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in … it’s a habit.
my eyes are open
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

IV

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

V

I walk down another street.
